Welcome to the Squee!Book v2.1 BETA
- I'm not going to lie to you; there will be bugs out there. Huge bugs. Mandibles. Be strong.
- The interface is getting its HTML5 on, so you'll need the latest versions of browsers to use it. If in doubt, Firefox and Chrome will work.
- It will go up and down like a bloody yo-yo
- The MOBI format is especially experimental and best used for single-chapter conversion. Speaking of ...
- While in testing, there's a limit of 30 URLs that can be fetched, which includes the automagically added FF.net chapters.
What's New?
- MOBIs, get ya MOBIs
- Images - right now that's just EPUB and it's shaky, but it's in there
- Multiple chapters - each URL will be considered a new chapter. If you're C&Ping, you'll see there's a page-break icon on the WYSIWYG that lets you insert your own. At the moment chapters can't be individually titled, but that will be along.
- Chapter hunt - if you're grabbing a story from FF.net or AO3, the script will automagically pull the whole fic, no more need to enter each URL individually.
- squee!Book
in your pocketon your toolbar! Click the button when you're on a page you want to ebook, fill in a few things and squee!Book will take it from there. Right now very much in development - epub and mobi especially will be hit and miss, and formatting may be out of whack. Also, won't get past a flock (yet - it's coming!)
OMG IT'S ALL GONE HORRIBLY WRONG
Yeah, I expect to hear this, like. A lot? If you run across something of a buggish or bug-like nature, please pop over here and let me know. If you can also include the browser you're using and the URL (if any) you're trying to grab, that would be great.
Who made that delightful bookmarklet icon?
That would be the lovely mahala_ac. Thank you, mahala_ac!
